Who we are
J Evans Property Developments Ltd is responsible for the personal information we use to handle your enquiries. Our company number is 14791599 and our registered office is 37 Spindle Lane, Shirley, Solihull, B90 1RP. Contact Jake at jevanspdl@outlook.com or 07789 766335 with any privacy questions.
Information you provide
When you contact us, we receive the details you choose to give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, property postcode, project type, timeframe and message. If you send plans or photographs, these may also contain personal information. Please only send information relevant to your project and avoid including sensitive personal details.
How and why we use it
We use your information to answer questions, assess your project, arrange site visits and prepare quotations. When you ask us to take steps towards a building contract, our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. For general correspondence and website security, we rely on our legitimate interests in running the business, answering enquiries and preventing misuse. We balance these interests against your privacy rights.
We do not use enquiry details for marketing, sell them or pass them to other businesses for marketing. Providing an enquiry is voluntary. Without enough contact and project information, we may be unable to respond or prepare a quotation.
Who processes your information
Access is limited to Jake and the team members who need it to handle your enquiry, together with the service providers used for the website and communications. Squarespace hosts this website and processes form submissions; email notifications and correspondence use Microsoft Outlook. Forms use Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam. If you choose WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram, those services process information under their own privacy notices.
Our providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Squarespace and Microsoft describe their international-transfer safeguards, including applicable Data Privacy Framework arrangements and contractual safeguards, in their privacy information. You can contact us for further information about the safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
Provider information: Squarespace privacy notice, Squarespace data processing terms, Microsoft privacy statement and Google privacy policy.
How long we keep enquiries
We keep unsuccessful or inactive enquiries for up to 12 months after our last meaningful contact, then delete them from our active enquiry records. If an enquiry becomes a project, we retain relevant contract and project records for the period needed to perform the work, deal with any issues and meet applicable legal and accounting requirements. Information needed for an unresolved complaint or legal claim may be retained until that matter is resolved. Service-provider backups may take longer to expire under their normal backup cycles.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use or receive a portable copy. Contact us using the details above to make a request. Some rights are limited where we have a legal obligation or a continuing lawful reason to retain information.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Tell us which processing you object to and why. We will consider your request in accordance with applicable data protection law.
Where optional cookies rely on consent, you can withdraw that consent through the website cookie controls. We do not use enquiry information for decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Cookies and embedded services
The website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functions, security and, where enabled, understanding website use. Optional cookies can be accepted or rejected through the cookie controls. Your browser can also block or delete cookies, although some functions may stop working. Embedded social content and services such as reCAPTCHA can process device, browser and usage information under their own policies. Following a social-media or WhatsApp link takes you to that provider.
Complaints and updates
Please contact us first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We update this notice when our practices change; the date at the top shows the latest revision.
